my new nokia c7 mobile is lost. :-( ...Life sucks. I had so many contacts and nice photos and videos of my daughter in that phone. Reckless with valuable stuff....sometimes it is better to buy a phone like 1100...

i got down from my cab to wolf down my daily dose of pani puri and i must have dropped it on the way back....

Need to get a duplicate sim, that 7 year old mobile number is all important to me.

March 27th

An early morning piping hot coffee with 2 ice cubes and a dose of Movies Now. A well slept night washes away the thoughts and the mind is a clean mark board. A missed calendar alarm and a missed sms. An eggless cake. A dusty red car trying to soak in the elusive rain . Speeding through a known area after a period of 2 years. Veg Sizzler. A red ant bite. Pipes through the nose and mouth. 2 pen shots and the black eyes clearing up.

Life goes on...

The office has been updated to the distant fairyland Manyata Tech Park.
Although the place is really damn good, I have to get used to this long journey YET AGAIN.

Hopefully I shall get used to this.

It's official

I have completed the coursework for my Master of Computer Science degree at Illinois Institute of Technology - Specialization in Computer Networking And Telecommunications .

:-)

The results for my Spring 2010 are out, I did not get the best marks(screwed up the subject which I would have liked to do really well), but good enough to complete the course. phew. It is a tough course and it feels good to add 2 years of academic education to your life. Would recommend this one to someone who is really motivated and would like to set their ass on fire even though work is piled up at office.

Now I will wait for the certificate. But as shown in 3 idiots, education is about the journey rather than the degree. MS was just like engineering, but a LOT more deeper. But definitely way better than the BE in terms of depth. To be frank it did take a toll on my weekends and I effortlessly get up at 3am these days. I bunked a few social gatherings (which have made the extended family angry), but seriously it is too much these days and I do not regret "not going" to a function AT ALL. Of course I will make up my absence and indifference and all that.

Guru : So what do you say ?
Shishya : I am surprised - to say the least ... Pleasantly though :-)
Guru : Sometimes surprises come when you are least expecting it.

Rains
These 2 months is about rain. It's been raining. I remember the day when I was drenched to the bone; big water droplets splashing my helmet. It was exhilarating->later too much-> later terrifying->later hysterical. The shout, the choke.

Just made me realize how much of an instinctive person I am. The logical part of my brain told me "I do not have common sense". The animal instinct part told me to do something instinctive/irrational. Even if it meant soaking my laptop, skidding and falling in the slimy mud.

Work
I've always been this sort of a person at work:

Think ->Think->.....Until I become tired and impatient to think further and no decision is taken. Then do something because no decision has been reached and there is no more time. The "do" part , well, it happens. If I were a king in the 17th century, I would have been like a bloody Tuglaq.

And I am tired of seeing better people at work. I need to get acquainted to more people like me at work. I work hard and still do something idiotic. Hope all this irritation ends.

BCB, Drag n' Drop, Coffee n Biscuits and McDonald .... Life has been pretty hectic!

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

From my recent actions, I am actually confused. What the heck, do I really want ? Ambition, pride, affection, self actualization , self realization OR the other side : Love, family, friends....

What do I really want in life ?

What is the use of having a resume with a list of achievements which nobody understands/bothers about when you are old. You need people who love you and people whom you love and the warm bonding.

That's perhaps the most important thing in life.

chuckle

The Guru and the shishya are staring at a baloon in the air.

Shishya: There goes the old businessman  .... Up in the baloon .... Can the businessman see us ?
Guru     : No, the businessman cannot and will not.
Shishya : Why will the businessman will not see us ?
Guru     : The businessman will NEVER poke into your business.
Shishya : A rocket awaits me.
Guru     : Chuckle.

Hmm my first post from my new company.

First impression has been good...Work is still to begin(which is gonna be C++ and Object Modelling and Design Patterns and all, which I don't have a good idea abt.).The cubicles are very close to each other and I am used to the majestic FAC-Z cubicles.

I can see the view of MG Road from my cubicle and I hear that my office will be shifted to Infantry Road. Meanwhile having an office in MGRoad is good because good access to eatables and anything! Tender coconuts, groundnuts buffet at a place called "Oye Amritsar!" ... Life goes on

There is a cab ( :-)!) and the timings are also good...

Hmmm

I moved out of Sasken yesterday. It was a wonderful company. From my point of view, more than the company, it was the team and the people. Team maketh an employee's professional life.

CorePCU is a lively team. Also an eventful one for me :-

a) I moved into our new house when I joined the team.
b) My sister's marriage.
c) My Paris trip.
d) My Ottawa trip.
e) My marriage.
f) My aptmt

Needless to say, I really enjoyed working here. Now I've stepped out of its umbrella, to venture into other things. I feel like a Columbus today, venturing into new waters, this rainy season.

Needed : Swalpa josh and Swalpa hosh.

Current Song : Eno ondthara

After driving slowly for quite sometime, have you ever felt the need to throttle?

I will give you an example:-

If you had seen the movie Ghulam, Aamir Khan will be going slowly bending his bike rhythmically as his bike waddles. Suddenly on the quite road, there is this array of bikes, which just swooshes past him with an defiance as though he never existed. Thats' enough to drag him into the race. Aamir Khan just wants to be on top of the other bikers, and he chases the guys to catch up with them.

Hmmm.

It's not just on road. It's with life too. My basic observation is the human instinct to be the bigger/better/faster/stronger wherever you are, whatever you do. Human, all too human.

Everything is looking so resigned and so philosophical today. I am looking fwd for the weekend. Lots of things to be done - everything will be taken one by one.
