Lets accept the fact

Sometimes you are 'the MOST WANTED' - in your company, at your home, by your friends, by your partners and thankfully not by the Police. And at times you are 'dead & stale meat & a burden'.

The only way to be the coveted one at workplace is to accept all challenges thrown at your. I prefer to call challenges as stupidities at times. You need to put in those extra hours, burn midnight oil, live on coffee and pizza, screw up your health and walk away with a 'thank you mail' from the "DELIGHTED" customer.

At home, you are the best kid if you dont have opinions and walk on a line drawn by your parents. Question their system and you are screwed.

Friends - aaahhh this the most easy one.. you can walk into a gang anytime and you can move out any time. I depends on your interests and like mindedness (dont know if this is the correct word). No one judge's you much and no one bothers. Just give a ring when you want to join some ppl and they accept you without any tanturms. There might a few leg pullings, but its funnnnnnnnn nevertheless.

Police - A NO NO always to me ..

Wondering where the Partner stuff went ?? thats a surprise .. ;-)

THE WORK IS BORRING .. I AM NOT ABLE TO COMPREHEND WHAT'S GOING ARND IN THIS PARTICULAR SHITTTTT.... AND I SUDDENLY FEEL I am adding no value, and hence not the most wanted guy in the project. Irony is my PM feels I am adding 'value'.. GRRRRRRRRRRR

Looks like Zeeds is feeling a lack-of-imporance-o-phobia....I feel it all the time!!!

There is a difference between "most wanted guy" and the "most needed" guy...

The only way to be the coveted one at workplace is to accept all challenges thrown at you

The MOST-WANTED guy in the workplace is a function of what you need at this point of time.....If I need a Mainframe Expert NOW, he is the most wanted guy....

U need to put in those extra hours, burn midnight oil, live on coffee and pizza, screw up your health and walk away with a 'thank you mail' from the "DELIGHTED" customer.

This doesnt make one, a most wanted guy at the workplace as such :)....

This is more abt passion at work and love of what you are doing and the yearning for appreciation to satisfy one's ego.....Lemme explain, my take :-

If you are a Darshini cook, it is about the vocal "delighted AHA!" from a satisfied customer...The fact that they come to your Darshini even in the rainy nights....In the same way, SEs yearn for a heartfelt appreciation....not a formal fart of an email....

At home, you are the best kid if you dont have opinions and walk on a line drawn by your parents. Question their system and you are screwed.

I have a strange feeling you are referring to someone here....lol!But the "most wanted" guy is not the "family" guy for me....it is the guy who showers people with money (in terms of crisis) and lends a helping hand....

If you are a sucker, even friends will start avoiding you....So a little bit of commitment is necessary for friendshiop also, (if you ask me)....but it is not like family ...okay..

Reminds me of the song, "The Bug" by Dire Straits. Listen to it. It captures it all.
