Ink Pen

When I was little, ball point pens were NOT to be used for classes 5th standard to 9th standard.

A hero pen was 30Rs. and was very popular. There were two types of inkpens. The ones which had a nib like this and the hero pens which had a nib like this.

We used to play with the BRIL inkbottles and our hands , books, shorts were full of blue or black ink stains.

And there were was one game. It was about dropping blots of ink on a paper and folding the paper and producing patterns.

I remembered this game because of a very well made video based on the same fact.
Really creative video.Check it out here

Another "trick" with the Hero pen caps:
You push the top of the cap towards you. And it topples over and stands upright again.

Remember?

well wasn't it also a period when ball points were viewed as a taboo?i often heard people saying that ball points would spoil the hand writing or one would be a bad student if they used a ball pen.wierd!

i think camelin pens were so popular but they never worked after a week and the rest of the time was spent dismantling it and trying to figure out the problem.

and yes, hero pens were the best. :-)

its called an in blot test, which is used in market research to understand the way consumers think. also if you see the movie, "The Game", Michael Douglas is subjected to this test as part of his registration process. Interesting to see and interpret

camlin pens were my fav and the ones with a back refill. It was considered a big thing to have a hero pen in those days.
