Spoliers ahead!
I didn't like it at all. But some scenes were good - Sonia crying+smiling when proposed to, DJ crying with Sue in the kitchen, and some bits of Karan's serious looks, but all that can be attributed to good acting by good actors. I was seriously unhappy with the jarring background score, unrealism from all angles, plot holes, lack of production continuity (watch out for the Atul Kulkarni's moustache changing every scene, every damn scene!), attemped humour (not all the humor; some of it was good), waheeda rahman's very surprising bad acting (she must be a director's actor), slow motion sequences which were trying too hard to move the auduience, and most of all, the film's riding the patriotic-message-to-Indian-youth bandwagon (Sarfarosh, Lakshya, Swades) or the vigelante-justice-theme (Kamal Hassan's Indian, Anniyan, etc.) to deliver an utter hogwash of a movie.
Its good compared to the neo-Johar-Chopra-Kohli-Ghai type of movies, but thats about it. I wouldn't call it a great movie, and neither would I compare it with DCH (for style), or Sarfarosh (for reality) or Swades (theme+inspiration). Its good only when compared to the new-age Bollywood movies, and nothing more. Maybe I have become too technical a movie-watcher, I don't know :(
