Another incident where audience was allergic to the non-macho scene was in the movie "Padayappa".

In the famous "swing scene" of Padayappa, many people started calling Ramya Krishna bad/profane names. They could not digest the fact that Rajni had to stand in front of a proud woman.

People cannot accept a non-stereotypical change in any form of art.
