all about admit letters..

read this article about harvard bussiness school admit letters and the comments esp the comment of one of those guys who saw his ding letter . Personally I dont understand the reason for all the fuss..i mean its not a big thing..it isnt a national secret ..
and from the students point of view its perfectly natural..if i was in such a situation definetly i would have done the same thing and i bet even the guy in bussiness school mgmt who rejected them also would have done the same thing..
btw i was really impressed by the marketing skills of this guy who is trying to make a profit out of his loss..

that's natural for any prestigious institution isnt it ? Even IITs/IIMs would have done the same thing.....

mama..is that fair??honestly whose mistake was it? come on man u should not "punish" applicants for your inability to conceal confidential info.. if the issue is about the 'ethics' of the action.. okay accepted that it is not ethical to "hack" into a secure system..but here the actual hacking was just pressing backspace.. i mean any curious person who is intelligent enough will try that..

ps: fixed some typos in my previous comment

Why even PESIT or RVCE would have done the same!

It's BS.
Harvard just wants to score PR points. When you are anyway rejecting, people, why not give ethics as reason!
About the curious cats, the decision is anyway gonna be same, whether they see it or not.
Anyway, Harvard accepts only people who are goodenough without having to get into Harvard. If you are such a guy, you can be confident regardless of Harvard's decision, coz u know you r good. If you are not such a guy, ur chances of making it into harvard are anyway zero. Your seeing the data will not alter ur odds.

Guess it's time we stop treating the Harvards, Oxfords, IITs and IIMs as temples of Solomon. Harvard is not any holier than PESIT. It's just that Harvard has done a better job of teaching and has managed a better brand equity. Apart from that I don't see a fundamental difference in the way educational institutions work. As I've mentioned previously, if IIMs' rejecting people with 97 percentile in favor of people with 98 percentile (just becoz there are limited seats) is ethical, so is plagiarism and so is insider trading.
