we would all love every public figure to be "directly" involved in "direct action", but it surely is easier said than done.... As a paradox, we adore public figures who are apolitical as well !
As an artiste, be it a poet or a newspaper columnist or a film actor, each one of them have a huge target audience and most of them influence the junta more than an activist.

hmm..true..and i dont see anything wrong in that..after all he is being projected as proponent of kannada cause..so its natural to expect some action from his side..and coming to indirect actions..well they are indirect..a side effect of his acting..which may or may not be intentional and does not reflect any efforts from him to help the kannada cause..
